Since it is the first day back at school tomorrow, I thought I would make Bee a bookmark to encourage her to read more. I have used a Tickled Pink image, so it is only fitting that I enter it into the Tickled Pink Challenge - Shaped card not square.
Hello!!, I have had a creative afternoon today making this card while have Lou on skype and talking to her at the same time, the only thing to shatter my peace is my hubby shaking his head on the other side of the window every time he walks past!!
Right... I have followed a sketch at Oldie but a Goodie challenge site... you must use a stamp that is older than 6 months old.... well I looked in my stash and cant even remember what this is called?? Anyone know??
Yep, I decided to take inspiration from a few challenge sites and match it with my mood (friggen cold) and make a card... and this is the end result! I followed the sketch and emboss over at The Pixie Cottage and I also found a new challenge site calledElphine House in Australia that aims their challenges at Elizabeth Bell images, so if you have any of these.. head on over and join in. They have challenged us to use pink and blue.... (mine looks more like lilac in this photo.... but in real life her top and patches are a bit more pinky)
Another week has flown by!!! Are you all ready for our next Sassy Cheryl challenge??? This week we would like you to use ribbon and lace. You can jump over to Sassy Cheryl's shop here and have a look at the new images this week... they are fantastic! Head on over to the challenge blog and see what the amazing sassy sistas have created this week.
Another wet cold day here in the Naki! What is a girl to do other than create! So today I have been blog hopping and came across aDT call for Cherry Lynn Designs... what self respecting crafterwouldn't want to join this team???? So yep, I have thrown my name in the hat, I'm not holding my breathe though as there are a lot of amazing entries already. I have used Cherry Lynn Die called Canadian Kaleidoscope and also LG Circle Stitching Tool which I cut down to fit the doily.
While looking for inspiration for this card I have followed the sketch over at A Gem of a Challenge.
I am ashamed to say the I won these two background stamps from Zoe at Make it Crafty ages ago and I have only just inked them up... and what a difference it makes to my main image. I normally knock up a coloured image in half an hour.... this took well over an hour to do and I even broke out my prisma pencils to do shading, and then got out my neglected pearl x and dusted the clouds and her dress with it so the image has a shimmer to it!!!
Another challenge fortnight has flown around over at Wags n Whiskers challenge blog. This fortnight we would like you make a project including buttons and bows. The image I used for this challenge is called Snuzzle Love. Head on over and see what the DT have created.
I finally managed to get to the final Harry Potter movie today with hubby and kids. Which was a rare occasion in itself! Apart from that I have had a BIG clean of the craft room, which I am happily creating and making messy again! I have made this card using the sketch over at Whiff of Joy challenge.
Right... its getting dark and cold. time to think about what I'm cooking for tea!
I have this week on holiday.... have I made cards??? Nope! The only card I have managed to make was late last night with this Simply Betty image called Harley. I have also used chipboard from Make it Crafty which I seem to have a stash off.!
Since it is winter here and swimming is a far distant memory, I thought I would try and bring some warmth into my thoughts!!! So I made this summer card using a digi set from Digi Design House called Fun in the Sun. Dont forget that you still have another week to enter our "summer" challenge and be in the chance to win some digi sets from DDH
This fortnights challenge over at Southern Girls Challenges is "Birthdays". I made this card for a friend who insists she is still in her 20's..... mmmm I know that its closer to double that, but oh well, I guess you are as young as you feel!! LOL I have used an image from Stitchy Bear Stamps, called Birthday Girl.
Wow this last week has flown by!!! Lucky for me I had a couple hours crafting yesterday afternoon so I got my DT card done for our next Sassy Cheryl challenge..... which I must admit I had to scratch my head a bit and think of what to do!! LOL.

I have come back from holiday checking 377 emails, and unpacked 4 suitcases... phew.! Family had a wonderful time in Aussie and I even got to have some "me time" when the lovely Zoe from Make it Crafty came and whisked me away to take me to an amazing shop in Brisbane.... good thing it was the other side of Brisbane ... we didn't stop talking and laughing.... and Zoe even managed a few scenic tours when she missed a few turn offs!! All in all, I feel extremely relaxed and stress free.... we are now planning our next holiday with the couple we went over with in another 3 years!
For some reason I thought of spicy pumpkin pie hence the burnt orange, and with the shattered glass on the flowers... the sugar!!! Well yes I do have a big imagination! But at least my daughter was grinning when I gave this door hanger to her with Boo & Snookie on it. Today when this goes live I will be up in the sky winging it back to NZ! So hopefully I get a chance to stop on by later in the day when I get home and see what you have all been up too!
