Polka Dots & Paisley

Hello,.... yes I am still here, been busy with one thing or another. School holidays... Mmmm don't you love them!!! You may be wondering what I have been up to lately, well I given myself 2 - 3 weeks off stamping at the moment while I prepare for an up and coming class. I am doing a "One sheet wonder" class with the theme of Christmas, where you get to create 10 cards. I have had such an overwhelming response that I am now doing classes over 2 weekends. There are going to be a few new faces amongst the regulars so am looking forward to meeting the newbies... Will download the cards we are going to make in a week or two... so keep coming back and check!!
For those of you that haven't seen me in the last 2 days... I have had all my hair chopped of and gone blonde!!! Big shock to the system when you see a sea of hair on the ground around you at the hair dressers!! I'm told that it makes me look younger (didn't know I looked that old!!!)
Take care

Stamped Candles

Christmas is in the air... how scary is that! We had my first night class last night, what a great way to finish of the working week, I may even continue to have a night class as well as my normal day classes.
Here are a few of the candles that were stamped with Gifts of Joy, The Snowflake Spot, Loads of Love, Bodacious Bouquet, they turned out great. Well done girls!! I have one more class tonight and then I have a couple of weekends where I will be frantically cutting enough card stock for my Christmas One Sheet Wonder cards... all 270 of them!!!! It will be good to get back to normal and do 2 cards per session.
Must fly... have cars to wash, house to tidy, kids to keep quiet while hubby sleeps after night shift... have a great weekend

Coaster boxes

I must say the coaster box class we had today kept everyone busy. Everything used was Stampin' Up! product apart from the cute poodle, which one of the class ladies bought along. It was alot of fun but I must say I am missing doing any cards... might settle down tonight in front of a movie and whip a few up for up and coming classes. Hope you all had a great weekend. Next class is on Friday/Sat. night where we will be stamping candles. Have a good week.

Criss cross cards

Well hello, what a busy weekend its been. I shopped up a storm in New Plymouth on Friday... madly buying paper for an Eygpt album I am doing.. Then as if that wasn't enough I had to pump out 20 invites for my mothers annual open home (she's an interior designer and invites all the people who have spent well over the year, they get to buy all types of exclusive goodies that no-one else is allowed to stock in shops up town). Basically its the who's who of Taranaki... It's one job I am glad to get out of the way. Yip hee.

Here is a change for me.... Everyone who knows me knows that I don't scrapbook!!!!. A good friend of mine - Jamie - got me started on making cards about two years ago now.. she always tried to get me into scrapbooking, but I have always resisted the urge... I can't wait to show her my first attempt, even though I know she will give me a good ribbing about it. But all and all I think it turned out pretty good.... what do you all think?? I think I might have joined the thousands!!! Funny thing is that it has made me feel all creative again... best I go and work on some Stampin' Up! cards for classes while I still have the urge. Take care and have a great weekend. By the way.. Cameron is second in line from the right, and she passed with "very highly commended" Well done sweetheart.

Dannevirke downline ..The amazing Lou

Well for those of you that don't know, I had been asked to hold workshop in Dannevirke. Yes its just under 3 hours drive.. and yes I was completely shattered when I got home that night, but it was well worth the trip. We had 11 eager ladies all wanting to learn the art of stamping. We made 8 different cards, and... I finally got to meet Lou.
Lou has bitten the bullet and signed up as a SU demonstrator. So as my downline I get to share all my ideas and tips with her to help on her journey as a Stampin'Up! demonstrator, (although I think she will do great)... So anyone out there in Dannevirke / Hastings area contact me and I will put you in contact to her... I am sure she will be eager to help... Her first class is going to be a couple xmas cards... can't wait to see them

Budle of Joy - card 2

I read somewhere (most likely on splitcoast stampers) that you could put coasters through your cuttlebug.. I gave it a try and this was the result. I can see that this will feature in more of my cards down the line.

Bundle of Joy

I love this stamp set out of the Spring Mini. Images were stamped on velum on the reverse side and also coloured on the reverse side, I used this stamp set for my weekend class.
