Well this is what I have been doing today.! I have been buying a crap load of recipe books and doing nothing with them.. so this morning I decided to try a couple out. Anyone got a good card challenge site to do today? I need some inspiration!
I had so much fun making this card. Yep it has another poodle in it Viv!!! I am entering in .... Sketch & Stash - where I used my very neglected brads! (not sure why I never use them anymore...) and followed their sketch. Shirley's 2 Girls - Something new.... yep, my new digi that I bought from them called Voyager (traveling)! Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
edited: OMGosh, I just realised that I didn't use any flowers!!!!!
How lucky am I to wake up this morning and see this badge waiting in my inbox. Thanks ladies. Aren't the ladybugs cute? I am travelling away for work again today, but hopefully will be home at a decent time so I can get some cards made, roll on the weekend!
Hi, it's my turn at Mad for Markers blog to post a card. I found this image while cruising around in cyber world and decided to make a swing card! Yep I had the patience to cut her out and yes she really does swing! I do hope you will join us for our new challenge set next week. I look forward to seeing all your copic projects, you all inspire me so much.
Hi all, hope you are all enjoying your week. Today over at Sassy Cherly's we have the theme "Birthday Cards". Who likes sketches??? Today over at USKaren's Doodles challenge blog we have a great sketch for you to follow. It's not the normal shape card (square or card shape) It's slightly longer to fit a business size envelope, 4" x 9.25 inches. There are some great eye candy that theDT have created for you to get all inspired, so head on over and have a look and join in.
I have been wanting to do a stair step card with these two images from MelJens for a while now, and with having my mate Marie here doing cards (well trying!!!)... what better time to have a go.. this my end result. I will enter it in Meljens challenge - fibres, ribbon or lace.
I had to buy two images for Marise from Shirley's 2 Girls, and yes both images had poodles in them, and this card had to be PINK!! Thought I would make this card before I hit the road again tomorrow morning .. yes travelling for work again (hopefully will be the last lime for a while). I have a few scheduled for you to see over the next few days. Anyway this card is for Allsorts Challenge - sketch. And also Papertake weekly - Ice Cream flavours - mine is Lime and strawberry flavour (my favourite) , and lastly - Shirley2 Girls - something old... well I have have these flowers for a while now and never used them ! Have fun this week.. see you all when I get back!
Weather isn't looking to hot outside now.. (evil laugh) I can now leave pruning the roses and come in and play!!! I had happy mail today where my Oregan raindrops from Pink Hedgehog finally arrived... WOW, you should see the range of colours... so of course I had to use "Buttercup" colour on this card, plus as much as I love my "Water Babe" stamp from Wags n Whiskers I just had to go shopping and get another WnWdigi called Bear Hug.. isn't she cute!!!
I had today off on holiday today. Caught up with my friend Trace and made cards all day... oh and went out for lunch. Apart from making my DT cards I also found time to make this card for A Spoonful of Sugar challenge - Enjoying the sunshine theme.
What a great weekend I had last weekend, I got so many cards done listening to my favourite radio station that plays all the oldies like The Doors, Pink Floyd etc etc etc. Anyway - onto this weeks challenge at Sassy Cheryls... we want you to create a homemade flower on your card. Its that easy! I have never been that successful at Lollipop flowers, so it was a great challenge for myself! I have used Sassy Cheryl's "Bubble Blower" for this and other great digi images, you can visit here. I have also used a sentiment from Sentimental Sundays Now.. what are you waiting for.. start making your flowers, I cant wait to check them out! Oh and don't forget to head over to challenge blog to see what the other fantastic Sassy DT have created!
Morning (or afternoon, depending on where you are in the world). Today we have a great challenge over at Karen's Doodles challenge blog - "Summer". I have used the digi image called "Time to Relax" .. oh and if you havent been over to Karen's Doodles for a while, head over there, she has some great teenager digis!
HI all, another dreary day here. I decided to take a break from my DT cards and enter a couple challenges at two of my favourite challenge blogs (apart from my DT challenge blogs that is!). And here they are.... Wags and Whiskers - distressing. (where this Water Babe image is from) Delightful Sketches - followed their fab sketch!
Hope you all are having a great weekend. Mine has been rather quiet, with my two stamping buddies Denise and Viv both got colds (they are both out of bounds!), and now my daughter is going through the tissues like you wouldn't believe!! Hopefully I'm not next!
A week or two ago my Aussie friend Zoe from Make it Crafty announced that she will be opening a digi online store for background images. I was honoured that she asked me to make a card for her. The background image I have used for this card is called "Hilly Lane" which will soon be available over at Zoe's Make it Crafty site. Isn't it wonderful.!! I also used "The Lovers Tree" from Sassy Cheryl. I wish you all the luck for your new venture Zoe! If you want to see more sneak peaks, head over to Zoe's site and see the beautiful sunset background.
Get it??? Oh well, for those of you that are a bit confused by my sense of humour... This fortnightschallenge at Mad for Markers is to colour on something other than paper..EEKKK. Lucky for me my new Whiff of Joy "Unwell" stamps arrived... so yep, I inked one up and stamped on tissue paper. Next I layed coloured tissue on candle and wrapped wax paper around and scrunched at back so I could have a good hold on it while I heat gunned the front to get the tissue to melt into the candle! Its really that easy, and a nice pressie for someone who isn't feeling the best if its a scented candle.
How cools this image!!!! I knew as soon as I seen it what I was going to do with it!!! Mind you... all Cheryls images have that reaction in me!! Right onto this weeks Sassy Cheryls challenge - Embossing. Its that easy! So what are you waiting for ... head over to our challenge blog and join in. Oh... and see what the ever so talented team have done for this weeks challenge!
What a busy weekend I have had. Being away all week for work as severely cut into my crafting time! Over at Karens Doodles we have a challenge set where Embossing wet or dry is needed on your card. I love this image... I have ear tagged this card to send to my brother who has a Ducati. Anyway.... I would love to see your card for this challenge, head on over to our challenge blog and see what the creative Dt have come up with.
Hi Sassy fans! The first challenge for this month over at Sassy Cheryls challenge blog is "Lots of layers" ! What a great start to the month. I used Bee on your nose for my Sassy image which reminds me of Winni the pooh.
