Southern Girls - Pippa

Bee Arty - Live your art tags

Morning Bee Arty fans...

Today I am sharing my monthly project - 3 tags

Before i start any project, I always pick out my paper, not only does this give me a colour scheme to go off, it also tends to give me ideas depending how much of it I have.
I had left overs from Arty Farty paper range that I couldn't bear throwing out, which gave me the idea to make tags. 

After cutting out a tag shape and gluing a strip down the side and picking out a stencil called Bricked,  I then mixed in some Shimmer Dust - Velvet into some Gesso and put a layer over the stencil on 2 tags and a Shimmer Dust - Paris/Gesso mix onto the last tag.

I then set aside to dry, which didn't take that long while I gathered up what I needed for next stage.

So for Tag 1 - I picked matching flowers that were 2 different sizes. Stamped each a couple times each with Archival Ink onto watercolour paper so the black outline wouldn't run when I coloured them with Shimmer Dust - Duke

Stamp set I used for this is called Floral Delights 2. ( I actually used the flowers from this set for all 3 tags), I also stamped on the tag to cover in some spaces one of the stamps from Meridian

Got to love fussy cutting!

I repeated the process for Tag 2,  but also added the paint brushes and words from Live Your Art stamp set. Shimmer Dust colours used for these flowers are Peacock and Lollipop

Lastly Tag 3 - I stamped on background one of the stamps from Geo Grunge

Shimmer Dust colours used were Duke and Velvet

I also used for the first time in center of flowers... Shimmer Pen... OMGeeee... squeal ... this pen is so cool and leaves such a shimmer!!

And so, after assembling them all together, free hand drawing lines around the edges, hole punching and adding twine, I have ended up with 3 bright and fun tags

Bee Arty - Let your dreams take flight

Ok - so quick post today.... Paige over at Bee Arty asked if I could colour up this Hydrangea Stamp set. OMG... it was so relaxing to colour. I used my copics to colour and used 2 Bee Arty inks for background... if you love the look of this stamp head on over to the sop... she has it on sale from $12 down to $6.... get in quick before they sell out!

Katzelkraft - Tea and Cake

Something a little different again from me today. 

I LOVE fussy cutting, so I'm not sure why I don't do it more often.

Today I have a card where I stamped on patterned paper for both the dresses and fussy cut them and glued them down. I even did the cake!

This card seemed a bit plain to me so I just added some doodles around the edges and words.

Colour of Love -

Hello... today I am sharing with you an image from Heathers Stitched collection over at Colour of Love

I normally head towards people images rather than animal images, so this was s bit of a challenge for me, but also a nice change.

I actually broke out the die cutting machine... of course I had to wipe off the dust before I used it!!!. Might have to use it more often I'm thinking, I really enjoyed it!

D'Arcy's Diaries

Morning. So going through my hoards of digital images, I came across a folder called D'Arcy's Diaries. I used to adore these images and have a few, unfortunately this is one company that is no longer selling their beautiful images.

I'm so glad I bought them when I did. But kind of sad I didn't by more!, but with loads more images and other new illustrators out there you do become spoilt for choice

Anna Miarczynska - Spring Image

Hello - second post for the day. This beauty took me 2 days to colour. I must say I do have sore eyes now so will definitely be taking a break from colouring for a few days now.

Below I have taken progres photos using my copics then highlighting with prisma pencils and polychromos

First the skin

Then hair, eyes and eggs

Birds, leaves and feathers

Finally finished

And because I printed out this image slightly larger because of all the detail in the nest and twigs, I decided to just mount on black cardstock then straight onto white card.

Hope you really liked this as much as I enjoyed colouring her.

Sybile - Miss Poodle

Afternoon - I wasnt going to post today, but I coloured her up a couple days ago and thought since Im sitting here avoiding the ironing I might as well post her!

She is coloured with copics and Prisma pencils

I'm off to take another photo .... will share next project shortly!!! two in one day.. on a roll

Katzelkraft - Get your happy on!

Hello. Im not sure how many people are actually reading this,,,, I seem to have a lot of views but not many comments. Im guessing FB etc has taken over blogging, But I'm old school and enjoy my blog... plus I can see how my style has changed over the years.

Today I have played around with my Katzelkraft images. These aren't like my normal digital stamps I normally use... these are red rubber stamps!!

I used sets called Relax, Balloms, and frogs which are all coloured with water colour pens... shock horror.... nope not my copics this time!

Colour of Love

Morning all. This is an image that I coloured a while ago for Heather over at Colour of Love

As a colorist, I dont always get time to make cards - so have a draw full of finished coloured images stacking up for a rainy day.... just screaming to be be made up into cards.

With this lock down happening, its the perfect excuse to make some up as I have plenty of time on my hands.... after I finish my working from home of course!!

So... this is the start of my attempt... well... just to make way for new images at least LOL

Virtual Cyber Crop - Challnge #6 - last one!

OK crafters - last one and what a struggle..... I DONT do people... in any way, shape or form, so to be asked to do this challenge had me shaking in my boots

Challenge 5  - include a baby/toddler photo of yourself....eeeekkkkk

Out of all the challenges, this one I found the hardest, and to be frank, Im glad the challenges are over. But did I enjoy my first ever Cyber Crop... hell yes... would I ever join one again... hell yes.... but the best thing of all I got to sit for 2 whole days, doiong what I love doing with other like minded lovelies and I got to do it with my long time friend Lou xxx

I hope you have enjoyed looking at what I have created over the last few days and maybe given you some inspiration also

Note to self... need a new white gel pen! didn't work to great on the leaves for some reason

I have had these stamps from Katzelkraft for a while now, but they are the last thing I have bought AND I hadn't cracked open the seal.

So I made this card using watercolour paper, pens, and stamp sets all from Katzelkraft called Relax, Round Bubbles and The Humanoids

Virtual Cyber Cropping - Challenge #2

Hello crafting peeps. So, This Art Journal page is for the second challenge.

 For this challenge we had a recipe we had to follow - Paint, tissue paper, stamping, cotton thread and patterned paper.

Everything I have used on the page is just old product I had stashed away.

Loved how it turned out, the heart is an old piece of tissue paper, love love love it.

Virtual Cyber Cropping - Challenge #1

Morning crafting peeps. So, Friday, Sat and Sunday I am joining in on a virtual cyber crop, which has been organised by the lovely Kylie Tout over at Scrapping Clearly. 

We have been given two challenges a day. For this challenge we had to add the quote " You can't use up creativity. The more you use the more you have.

I haven't done an Art Journal page for probably months now, so was refreshing to have a play.

There is something satisfying about not knowing what you are creating... you just go with the flow

So for this project I have used paper from Spread Your Wings collection design by Michelle Grant, Stamp set Live Your Art by Michelle Grant which both can be found at Bee Arty
