Fun & Fast Notes

Well for those of you who don't live in Taranaki.. it was a crappy cold day here... perfect for stamping. Bee's in the background singing "It's raining it's pouring the old man is snoring" Cam is reading a kids mag, Rich is attending to the fire and watching sports YAWN!!! Everyone warm and snuggly (except me in my stamp room, but hey at least I have one!!)

So this is some of the cards I created today. First I have always wanted to attempt 3x3" cards with a little box to keep them in... perfect gift for some lucky person. I used Fun and Fast Notes, with colors, Barely Banana, Rose Red and Certain Celery. Really pleased with the little box I made to match the cards.

Second picture is a sneak in.. A Bella stamped card. I just wanted to use up those hoarded left over papers I have lying around.
Hope you all had a great weekend.

Fishy Friends

Hi all quick post today, first card is of course using Fishy Friends... if you have kids that like to stamp with you... then this is the set to get!! My girls love it.

Second card is a bella stamped card. Gotta hate those cards that just sneak into a SU only site!! This one I sent away to across the ditch.

Had an afternoon with lovely Waverley WI today, they had a great time making cards. Tomorrow morning is dedicated to running around and helping Dad who is feeling the ill effects from his 3rd lot of chemo and then clipboard class in afternoon... with experienced ladies which means I get to ignore them and stamp to my hearts content with good company!!

Peaceful Wishes

Hello, it feels like ages since I blogged. I was home from work yesterday looking after Cameron who was a bit under the weather, so after a morning of baking I had the afternoon to play... here is one of the cards I made.

And below is my non SU scrapbook page that I have sneaked in!!! (Getting good at that!!!!) This was Bailee's last day at kindy last year. For all those SU lovers out there... yes I am building my supply of 12x12 papers, and doing some pages with them... watch this space!

I have tomorrow off work, (seems like I am never there!!!! I am trying to use up all my annual leave).
My plans????, buying custard squares and coffees for me and Dad to eat and drink while I visit him (he had his third lot of Chemo today), then I am off to Waverley to meet a bunch of ladies to show them cards and make a few. Cant wait!
Have a great week.

Outlaw DS Paper / Paperpesto sketch Challenge

I can't take the credit for this accordian album, it was done by my talented cousin Marise (who should have her own blog!!!), and who by the way has joined my very talented Stampin' Up! team of ladies. (Well that's when her paper work goes through!!)....

Anyway, this is my attempt to keep SU fans happy while I sneak another non SU project in.. I have partaken in a sketch challenge over at paperpesto, man I am loving doing scrapbooking!!! Although SU workshops rock too!!! A big HI to the ladies myself and Marise met today at Ki Iwi / Wanganui. You guys were great.

Must fly, unpack from a busy workshop, and have some me stamp time!!! Hopefully I will get some cards done!

Bugs & Kisses

Well I know this card is not my normal style and flare, and I am ashamed to admit that I had to hunt for a card that I haven't posted... Life just gets so darn busy.
I have been busy cutting card for a workshop out of town and any spare time I am scrapbooking. Why are you not seeing this scrapbooking?? because it's not SU. Once I get decent photos of my work I will sneak the odd one here and there on this blog...

Anyway... exciting news... I have met a wonderful lady in town who is going to lend me her husband (at a price... which I will probably have to take out a small loan LOL) and they are going to design me a craft bench that will have cubby holes to hold cardstock etc... and he is going to build it for me... Yah... cant wait. I will post in the future when it is finished.... if you are reading this Maria... no pressure... my readers are kind!!!

New Zealand readers.... Who knew Toni was going to die in Shorty Street??? I havent watched it for a few weeks and had to fight the tears last night when she died!!!!... must fly... its on in 5 mins!

Bugs & Kisses

I ended up in A&E a couple weekends ago and after being high as a kite on Codine to get rid of back and chest pains.. I created this card shortly afterwards!! Not bad I think.

The cats... well they love to jump up and watch what I am stamping, so I decided that if I bought a little bed for on top of my table, then they could take turns... ummm I guess they thought differently!! Needless to say I have now bought one that fits both in when stretched out!!

Must dash, we are off to tea with the girls to celebrate our 10th wedding ann.

Chip board box

Now that I have nice shelving in my room I am trying to get slightly more organized by getting boxes etc to put bits and bobs in.
Here is a wooden box (out of Spotlight), covered in SU Designer paper and also using SU chipboard... and as the name suggests ... I am storing all my chipboard from Stampin' Up! in it. Next is a non SU card, although the background is stamped with Baroque Mofits.
Well it was a wonderful sunny winter day here in Hawera today... my hands have got thorn cuts from pruning the roses... so I am off to have a nice hot shower then into my stamp room to have a play.

Have a great week.

Priceless

Here is one of the cards I am doing in class over the weekend. Sage Shadow, Really Rust and Choc. Chip have too be my all time favorite colours together. And I have to admit, it is so much nicer stamping in a room that isn't in constant chaos!!!

I was tagged by LeAnne . This tag had some different questions--fun things to reveal about yourself! So here goes:

  1. What were you doing ten years ago: I was in Fiji with 3 days to go waiting for the 9th June to roll around for my big day... my our wedding.
  2. Five things on today's "to-do" list:
    1. Go to post office to send a little something to two lucky ladies over in the states (done)
    2. Place an order with SU (done)
    3. Update Blog (doing now)
    4. Make a cuppa tea and look at mag (Going to do soon)
    5. Set out class packs for weekend (might leave for first thing tomorrow)
  3. Snacks I enjoy: Arnotts Shapes Vintage cheddar
  4. Things I would do if I was a millionaire: Leave work and do SU full time, buy a farmlet and some horses for myself and girls... pity hubby is allergic to them!!!
  5. Places I have lived: Hawera, New Plymouth, Te Rapa, Cambridge.

Now I am tagging: Lou, Joani, Laura.. Stop by their blogs to see what they come up with!

Fun & Fast Notes

Just a quick card to show you. And have many more to post that I have been stamping, but will be away for the next few days at a conference for work, so you will have to wait until then ;-).

Have a great week (what's left of it).
