Bee Arty - You Make me Happy

Good morning Bee Arty fans...

I'm back again to show you a nice simple card and tag set

I have been eyeing up these stamps for a while now and finally got my hands on them. Its perfect for all you card makers out there who love colouring. Its called "You make me Happy" which is mounted with firm red rubber. It makes a nice crisp outline when stamped which is always a winner in my eyes.

So after stamping the flowers several times and the words with Memento Ink so my copics wouldn't run I was ready to colour.

7 flowers later... time to find my scissors for a bit of fussy cutting while watching a TV program

At this stage I decided the centers needed a bit of bling, so out comes the Shimmer pen which I love, its mess free and easily adds some blingy goodness

So next I picked out a background paper which I cut from Love & Grace collection, I played around with the arrangement of flowers and words until I was happy

At this stage I had 1 flower left so made a tag by cutting one out from the same paper collection, added a bit more detail by stamping a stamp from the Textiles stamp set

After drawing my boarder around the outside, finding a word and a few leaves from the same paper collection I cut and inked all the edges then put my card and tag together.

Hope you have enjoyed this card and tag set. I love how it turned out, and will defiantly be getting a lot of use out of this stamps set

Sunday Crafting!

Afternoon all.
What do you all do when its a rainy Sunday afternoon???
I have just spent some quality time with Cameron, crafting. Her colouring in with my Polychromos and me with copics.

I had numerous emails telling me you enjoyed seeing step by step my process when colouring, so hopefully you dont find this post to photo heavy.

As you should know, I always pick paper first. This was out of my scrap bin, so dont even know what brand it is.
Next I start the image... skin first

Dress next picking up the blue from the patterned paper. Then started on the hair

There is a tiny strip of green in the paper so coloured the leaves to match

COFFEE BREAK

Flowers next using I think from memory 5 different colours for just the yellow, I needed glasses on top of my glasses!

Red flowers kept simple 2 colours!

Lastly Put it all together, make a card

While I played with this card, below is what Cameron finally finished. Isn't it stunning!!
Hope it raining next weekend when she comes home and we can do it all again!!

Stamperia - Art journal

Hello! Another play in my craft room, this is one of my projects that got completed
I couldn't leave my Stamperia Sea World pad paper along and really wanted to use this guy.... so came up with an idea of him looking through a frame

I glued him on thick card and cut him out to make him a bit more sturdy

Fussy cut all the element I wanted to use, glued down with Gel Medium
Outlined elements, distress inked edges, highlights areas and look at the finished product!!!
So easy to do and looks great
Hope you all have a great weekend

Playing with Mintay Papers

Afternoon
Just felt like fussy cutting today, so out comes my new Mintay Paper collections - Wilderness and Flora Book

So I have been asked by a number of crafters to break down my step by step even further... so here goes... excuse my messy workdesk!
After picking out papers I choose an image and matched my copics with the paper.

After I finished colouring, she is put to the side and this is when I work out the layout of the card and because I wanted a muted vintage look I distressed around all the edges using vintage photo

I found an old postcard in my stash and cut out 3 frames from Wilderness Mintay paper

Once the base is all to my liking and stuck down, I fussy cut some flowers from Mintay Flora Pack

Now all thats left is flower placement

And finally added a few liquid pearls, and sentiment

The trick I tell other card makers/crafters when they ask... dont overthink it, This card took less than an hour all up to make.
I have a short attention span, if its going to take half a day to make... then in my world it wont get finished.

Hope I have broken this card down step by step for you all that have asked.
Happy crafting

Stamperia Art Journal

Hello... Today I'm excited to share my new Art Journal with you.
Instead of my normal Ranger journal I wanted to have a selection of journals so ordered a couple Vicki Bouton journals and this one which is a Maya Road Binder

I must admit I was like a kid in a candy store, with all my Stamperia pads I ordered from Paperzone it was hard to choose which image I wanted to use.
So for this project I used paper from Mechanical Sea World , and found some rice paper with similar colours.

After using black Gesso, placing tisssue and image and sticking down, I added DecoArt Media fluid acrylic paints, Cobalt Turquoise Hue, Burnt Sienna and Raw Sienna, then used my finger to wipe DecoArt Metallic Lustre - Burnished Brass around edges

I then had some cardboard that my paper pads were between for postage which I cut a frame out, painted with black gesso, and gold lustre.

Below pictures are all the added extra bits and bobs.... some cogs I cut out from paper same paper pad and also had some chipboard laying around from years ago when I used to be on Imagine If design team. If you haven't seen their chipboard range pop on over - they have an amazing range.
They matched my project beautifully

I also used to age the project even more, Distress Ink - Vintage Photo and Gelatos - Brown

Finally I finished folder off by adding paint, paper and inks to spine and back.

Hope you enjoyed looking at this project as much as I enjoyed making it.

Polkadoodles - Tags

Afternoon
So I discovered a bag of fussy cut sets that I must have done years ago when I was on the Polkadoodles Design Team. I didnt feel like colouring or getting messy with art journaling so decided to whip up some tags with the left over elements

Pretty easy and quick to make these - I just used distress ink around all tags and elements, drew a border, stamped a word background from Prima and then stuck all together

Not a bad effort for a couple hours playing
Until next time
Happy crafting

Entering these in some challenges for fun

Stamperia - Art Journal

OK so today I am sharing an Art journal page I played with yesterday after my craft room had a big tidy up with the help from my daughter.

o

For the background I used sprays from Lindy's Stamp Gang - Starburst and Mister Hueys - Heirloom Blue. I also used distress inks - Vintage Photo and Black Soot

I then added some stamping using Prima script and a stamp from The Scrapbook Diaries set

Finally I added the star of the page... the little fish which I cut from  my new 8x8 pad Forest from Stamperia... OMG... I am in love with all the new Stamperia product.

Happy crafting
