Scrapbook canvas

Over at Crfty Tart they are having another 6 week challenge called "Inspirational Innovation". This is for week one. It got the nod from the hubby and kids!, so it's now on our lounge wall!
Last day of work today.. then the weekend.. yah, its been a unreasonably long week!

Sookie Stackhouse!!!! - True Blood

Well thanks to Lou for telling me how wonderful these True Blood books are, and thanks to Viv for starting me reading the first one, I can safely say I am going to struggle once again to keep my nose out of the books!! (as Lou says.. its the adult version of Twilight).
I am amazed that I even have a card to show you! This one is for Papertake Weekly.
I have a canvas scrapbook page to show you all tomorrow... it is for a CT challenge.

Anyone for Anya??

Anyone for Anya is a new challenge blog for those peeps out there that love the Greeting Farm Anya's and her friends. We are supposed to pick our fav. Anya, but I like all of mine.. so just picked the top one in my pile, and followed a sketch.

Friday Sketchers

I have decided I need to get more organized.... so I have been making lists...
List 1... 2 week menu plan..I figure it just makes life easier if I know whats for tea when I get home, then I can prepare it, feed the kids/hubby, and get into stamp room just that bit faster!
List 2... make a list of any challenges I really want to do and cross off as I do them! Plus I seemed to have signed up for alot of extra things lately so that keeps me on my toes!

Anyway.. onto this challenge card. It is a sketch from Friday Sketchers, I know Ive said it before... but these type of challenges would have to be my favourite... it requires no thinking on my behalf at all!!!!

Messed up night!!

Why is it that when my 6yr old jumps at the chance to stay at a friends, that I get rung up at 10.45pm to come get her cause shes scared. Then to make it worse... she is all grins when I get there!!!! Arrrggggg. And to top it off, my 10yr old had a friend staying... so I ended up with the 3 girls talking through to midnight!!!! and its now 9am and I have asked them at least 6 times to get changed!!!! Arrrggggg.

On the plus side, we had a great time last night at class, although it was alot to get through in one night!, we started at 6pm and walked out at 9.45pm.. so needless to say I am rather tired.

Right... on to the card... this card fits nicely into two challenges... Saturday Challenge - 3 buttons, 2 DS papers, 1 ribbon. AND The Character Cafe - stitching.

Christmas Santa

Here is a peak at the stamped image that the ladies from Crafty Tart who have joined in on the August Card Swap will be receiving in the post!

Scary thing is... Christmas isn't far away, so it will be great to be one step ahead of the game by getting a few Christmas cards done and also receiving some!

I did this card last night while watching Man Vs Wild. That dude is seriously amazing... the crap he puts into his mouth makes me shudder!!

Card Withdrawals

Here's my first card after my weekend away... I think I was having card challenge withdrawals.
Instead of trying to catch up I just picked one and will start fresh from today with the ones I enjoy doing. I will admit, I did find it hard going trying to get back into the swing of things.

Plain and Simple

Yep, see, I can do plain and simple! This page started of being a sketch challenge that Lynne set over at Crafty Tart.... I am not even going to bother putting in the gallery as it doesnt even look like the sketch she set!
I never do layouts of my hubby, so I thought I would go outside my comfort zone and do this page of him and his sister Lucy.

Well wonderful people... I am off first thing in the morning....... bags packed, money stashed in wallet, will try to get something done while away.. yes I cant go without taking my copics with me!!!
So will hopefully post on Monday with news, and candy.. have a great weekend.

Mimosa

Isn't Mimosa so cute! She was a joy to colour in and she went perfectly with the sketch from Secret Crafter challenge.
Well I have one more sleep then off to SENZ for the weekend.

I have just about hit the 30,000 mark for visits, so while I am away I am going to stock up a nice bundle of goodies for one person to win.. so keep watching, I will post picture and instructions on Monday 20th.

Handsome Card

Wow, 10 years ago I had my first girl!!! She is so excited this morning because she has hit double digits!! I didn't have the heart to burst her bubble and tell her that when she gets older she will want it to turn back!!!!
Her is my card following a sketch for Sketch Saturday.
Well, Cam and I are off to dancing practice with exams around the corner the lessons are stepped up. Then unfortunately I have to look after Mum's shop while she takes off to her specialist app. that is an hour away!!! So I will get stuck in the shop all afternoon! Oh well I suppose I can take my copics!!

Dream Card

There are two reasons I made this card last night... one for Cameron's 10th birthday tomorrow (yes I have misplaced the original card I made for her!). Secondly for Whiff of Joy Challenge. I had fun doing this card... mind you ... I always have fun colouring in like a 5 year old!

Chocolate and red

When we have a challenge that says "brown and red", why is that we think of strawberries dipped in chocolate???? yum!!! chocolate... must get some!
Anyway this card is for exactly what the title says, for Stampin for the weekend challenge.
I have this week on holiday, and I seemed to have filled it up nicely... off to lunch with Denise soon with the tribe (4 girls...aghhh shudder).
The rest of the week is busy then in the car up to Auckland for SENZ on Friday. Cant wait to meet some of my blogging friends.

On a roll

Here is a card I did with some leftover scraps.... I have no idea where I put the card, it's floating somewhere in this mess I call a craft room.

Fan/Accordian Flowers

Yesterday zoomed by. My friend Jamie came into town to do some scrap booking with me (in between making homemade sausage rolls and slices). I did a few layouts, this being one of them using some paper that Denise gave me from SU. Very plain, but the photo matched the paper perfectly and there is room on the right for journalling.
Well another mucky day today... Cam has dance practice for exams coming up begining of August, and I have to cut for a class on the 26th.

Friday Sketchers

I have missed out on a few sketches lately, so as soon as I got in yesterday from work I sat down and did this card for Friday Sketchers. The stamp was sent in a RAK by Jill (along with two others...lucky me) and the paper is the new BG June Bug.

Penny Royale

After doing my card swap I had a few sheets left over, so because the paper was so pretty I decided to do a LO of Cam that was taken back in "05",
I have added chipboard flowers (Buzz and Bloom) that I ordered from Crafty Tart.

Card Swap

Over at Crafty Tart we are having a card swap. Tomorrow is the last day to sign up. Of course... me being super organised, I have already made a few. Paper is the new Kaiser range, Primas, and image coloured with Copics. If you need a bit inspiration, pop over to Crafty Tart and join in, I'm sure I can make more cards!!!! ;-)

My wonderful blogging friend sent me some goodies from England. WOW... I have to keep touching everything to have another look.
This makes up for the copics arriving late... thanks Jill, you are fantastic.
It makes you so aware of how kind hearted and generous our crafting community is, no matter where you are in the world.

Saturday Challenge - 3 ribbons

Isn't this image great?? My friend Jill sent me a RAK with stamped images and this was one of them.
Soooo this was a easy challenge to add 3 ribbons.. I had already coloured the image in during the week so all I had to do was add paper.

Double or nothing

Over at Stampin for the weekend they have a challenge on at the moment where you have the choice between two sketches. I choose Donna's sketch.
Doesn't it make life just that bit easier when you have a sketch to follow.!!!

Earthy colours

I love using these earthy type colours, and also getting to use my distress inks to mucky it up a bit. This sketch is for Friday Sketchers challenge.
I love the dew drops also.. will defiantly have to order more from overseas.
Even better news... my copic man has been it touch... they are on their way...Yiphee

Over at The Sugar Bowl, they have a great sketch once again to follow. And as extra you have to use sparkle, bling etc. I have used pearls and also added some sparkle to the underneath flower... although it doesnt show up in the photo!

Now ... I have a gripe.... I was never meant to have copics... I am lucky to have the few that I have!!!! Every time I order something happens... they haven't got the colours I want..... they are having trouble sourcing any I want and the latest is.... I ordered 13 (unlucky for some... obviously for me!!!) over the net at a copic shop in Japan.... guess what... its come out of my acc.... and I have no conformation that they even got my order grrrrrrrrrrrrrr, what makes it worse is I have emailed.. and haven't got a response from them!!!!! I know that they are usually good at service because its where Viv and Denise order theirs.... It is just not meant to be!!!!!!

Here is my entry into A spoon Full of Sugar challenge which you have to do a card with the theme "summer"... I have personally forgotten what thats like when I leave for work at 6.30 with Jack Frost every morning!!!!!!
Anyhoo..... I got some Kaiser paper over at Artfull crafts last night and I got drawn as a lucky winner and get to choose two free collections... yiphee.. I never (and I mean never) win anything.. so this is a real buzz for me.
