Flat Colouring at Make it Crafty

Hello, I'm here with my latest play around trying flat colour shading on Crystal's dress for my colouring inspiration post over at Make it Crafty.  So basically the dress is coloured with one colour Y17, then shaded with W3. I also used BG13 for diamonds on dress, and once again used W3 for shading. It was a quick easy way to shade... and a technique I would not normally try. Here's the whole card.

Saturated Canary - New hair colour??

Hello!, hope everyone had a productive weekend like I did, gardening, cleaning, more gardening, and a few cards. I had a go at a new colour combo for red hair using E08 and E18.. what do you think?

Well, I went for a 5k walk today, muscles are screaming at me now... so of to have a cuppa and early to bed.

Hi dee hi campers! it was a very hectic weekend in this household! Yesterday was spent at a swim meet where Cameron got a couple firsts and person best times in 3 events... (one of them was a whooping 8 seconds off her 50m butterfly!!!!!)! And today was such a sunny day that I just couldn't get out of doing a spot of gardening! I have however been playing around with this image Cynthia from Make it Crafty and also a couple other DT projects.

Saturated Canary - Canary Love

Hello! What a great day I am having! I have taken today off work to catch up on some housework... and I get to play in my craft room with no interuption's.... house work getting done??? well sort of! LOL.. in between cards.

I have been sitting on this Saturated Canary image for a while now, she has had her face and hair done... but was just waiting for her clothes to be coloured! Finally managed it and decided in Fall colours.

Make It Crafty - Sharp Shading

Hello,  Happy Wednesday! Its been a while (in fact a month ) since I last posted a Colouring Inspiration over on the Make It Crafty blog. Life just seems to be getting busier. Anyway, who hasn’t got their 60′s girls yet and had a play? Aren’t they fab? Melody was the first one I coloured up and decided to have a go at some sharp shading. You can notice mainly around skin where the W2 seems to show up more, I did however use W2 on her clothing where I thought the shading should be more prominent. Below is a list of colours I used.

Skin – E000, E01, E11, R20

Hair – E37, E99, YR24

Boots – R14, R17, G21

Dress – YR00, YR01, YR02

Sharp shade – W2

Artfull Crafts - Butterfly Kisses

Hello, I am so excited to show you my very first creation for Artfull Crafts. I was thrilled to pieces when Liz sent me a new collection from Kaisercraft - Butterfly Kisses (due out in October), to play with and I knew right away that I wanted to make milk cartons and holder for a special little girl who's birthday is coming up. The brightness of the collection also fits in well with this months challenge - spring fling.

Along with Butterfly Kisses 6x6 pad I have also used Layered Chipboard from the same collection. I must admit I have never used layered chipboard before and was surprised how they finished the carton of perfectly.

So, that's me done for my very first post here. I hope you have enjoyed it and that I have given you some inspiration.

Southern Girls!!!

Hello!, I have been spending a massive amount of time away from my family and beloved craft room over the last few weeks due to work. It feels like a post is well over due... and guess what, it is!!!! Southern Girls has a new challenge up "its all about the flora". This was my card, which was made on time, just didn't get it scheduled! Sorry Lou ;-)

I ave used my favorite paper at the moment Bazzill Basics - Wayfarer from Artfull Crafts... I am silently sobbing because I think I can only squeeze one more card out of the left overs :-(
