Southern Girls - Animal Antics - Milk Coffee Stamps

Time for another challenge here at Southern Girls Challenges,  and this week we want to see those have the title Animal Antics!  I had a fun time colouring in this cute image Charlotte and Butterfly from Milk Coffee Stamps. So anything with an animal somewhere on your project will do. Remember you can enter by email if you don't have a blog and we accept any type of papercraft projects.  Now on a sad note a number of girls from Team Trace are leaving as their term is up. These girls have done an amazing stint at Southern Girls and showed us all some pretty outstanding projects along the way. Myself and Lou would like to thank Stephanie, Kasey, Eva Marie, and Siv for all your hard work in helping make Southern Girls such a success. All the best for whatever you are moving on to.

Artfull Crafts - Inklings

Hello,  Liz from Artfull Crafts sent me over some of the new Inkling images to play around with last night. I printed out 5 last night and finally sat down this afternoon and coloured them up. I wanted to do quick easy cards to show you that even if a card takes 20 minutes to do, it can still look great if you have coloured it in well. I used all my left over Kaisercraft collections to make the card up.

First Inkling image I coloured is called Blast Off. Kaisercraft paper Collection -  Blast Off!! Perfect match, and great for those of you that enjoy bright colours.

Second card is Inkling image called Frosty Snowman. For this card I used Elegance paper from Kaisercraft.

Third card is using new Inklings image Enchanted Ella. (Think she's my favourite so far) I used Kaisercraft collection Hopscotch

Another close up

Forth card, is using Bella Bouquet. paper used is Botanical Odyssey

Another close up

And lastly Inklings image Rugby Roger. Using In the Attic paper.

Right, so if your still with me... well done!! I'm sorry it was rather a photo heavy post. But I really wanted to share my idea about quick and easy cards. All up I spent just over 2 hours creating these five. I hope I have inspired you enough to whip up some cards this weekend!

Happy crafting

Papervine Kit

Well its been a long, long time since I have done a kit. I normally make up my own designs and add what I want, but I couldn't resist Lowri's kit from Papervine. It was nice to just sit and relax and not have to think, the instructions were clear and precise.. easy peasy!. All the lovely trinkets and wooden frame you can buy from Papervine.

Marianne Designs Products used:

Rainy day!! - Smash Book, Saturated Canary

Oh its a tough life... but when your on holiday and its raining and hailing... what's the best thing to do... (apart from making Cameron's cake and other sweet treats for her 14th birthday)... yep I started my very first Smash Book. I'm not 100% happy with the first page.. I can only wish it will get better! I think the Saturated Canary image helps!!! and Krista's images always make me happy ;-)

Righto.... I now need to get creative with my new release  product that arrived from Marianne Design. And then I have started a little project that I got from Lowri at Papervine.... I think I am hooked and need to do more!!!

Enchanted Garden & Sweet Pea

Hello,  I have a couple cards and a tag to show you today. So a few photos... I will jump straight into it.... The first card I had so much fun and got very mucky hands playing around with my new Frantage embossing powder from Live and Love Crafts. I used my copics to colour in this wonderful Tiddly Inks image to match with the beautiful colours of "Enchanted Garden" paper from Kaisercraft.

A closer look

Secondly, I made an Easel card made from the same collection "Enchanted Garden" The butterflies I cut out from a sheet of 6x6 paper pad.

And here we have my tag I made from the left overs of my Sweet Pea stash.... I have already tied it to a gift and sent via mail as a RAK to some lucky person!

Artfull Crafts - Sweet Pea

Hello,  I wanted to share with you two cards I have created using the new Kaisercraft collection called Sweet Pea. Love the heart shapes in the collectables and the little flags, in fact there are many treasures in the collectables pack to hunt and rummage in!
Image (Saturated Canary), was coloured in using my copics. I think my favourite thing to do is colour hair, it always brings the image to life.

Below is a quick card...(quick because I haven't used a coloured image).

Hope you all had a great week.
Happy crafting

2013 - 2014 Design Team Callout!

It's THAT time of the year again! If you want to join the Artfull Crafts Design Team, then keep on reading!

We have 5 spaces available and are looking for people who love to papercraft. Maybe you do layouts? Cards? Altered Items? BTP Projects? Papercrafts? Maybe you do all of them and more - WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Artfull Crafts is a Timaru, NZ based papercraft store, with a leading website. Artfull Crafts won the Small Retail Business Award for the South Canterbury region last year and we enjoy the opportunity to be involved with the crafting community across new Zealand and Australia. The Design Team features on our blog and Facebook page, as well as getting great opportunities to feature on major manufacturers' blogs. We have a fun time as a team and invite local, national and international applicants.

We have been fortunate year after year to invite talented crafters to join our team for a year. It's always sad saying goodbye to our old team (they have contributed so much to Artfull Crafts) but it's always exciting to offer the opportunity to other talented crafters. If you're interested then please click here to download the application form in Word Format and click here to download the application as a PDF.

Applications close midnight 3rd of August, 2013.

We look forward to receiving your application!

Playing around

Well this weekend has had some highs and lows... but I will share the highs.... a...My craft room is 80% clean!.... b....the weather was good for nothing but staying in the craft room.... and c... I managed to finish off some Project Life which I do not share on here... and had a play with my copics. So this is one of the cards I completed. I love how the leaves turned out, the shadowing gives them a lot of texture. These cuties called Sympathy Bugs are another Sylvia Zet, Wee Stamp image.
Well its still raining outside, fire is roaring.... time to think about tea then might just sneak back to craft room and carry on playing!
Oh .. and d..... hubby put a TV in my craft room for me.... huh... I may never leave !!!!!!
