Faith Pocock - Artist Trading Block

Hello!! Today I have what I think is my favorite so far project for Faith Pocock Designs.
Artist Trading Block

I glued this block together straight away knowing there were no fiddly bits and bobs

I then pick the beautiful paper set from Stamperia called Imagine. Cut 5 squares and glued them down

While the block was drying I then picked a sheet out that had different images on it and used the little ornate frames from Faith Pocock Studio to make help choose the right size images

Once I had decided I then cut each image out, distressed with ink the stuck the frame onto it. I only used 4 frames... one for each side

Before gluing paper pieces, words and frames onto block I used a stencil to add a bit of texture on each side and top

And finally the top

I also added a touch of Burnished Brass with my finger to edges and over frames using DecoArt Metallic Lustre

Hope you enjoyed this little project. It was so much fun and looks so amazing in real life

Bee Arty - Castle Dark

                                                            Morning Bee Arty Fans

Back again making the second set of cards from the Castle Dark Mini Collection Pack

With this set I had already fussy cut images out at the beginning of the month for the first 3 cards. So it was a matter of sifting through the elements and finding a theme - first set was a scull theme this set I have chosen a wing theme

As before - I played around until I found elements that went well together
First card

Second card

Third card

I then picked out backing card and paper, distressed all edges and glued down

I love how all 6 cards turned out. and there is plenty of cut outs left for when I want to make some more. But for now I will be starting on another collection..... see you soon!

Faith Pocock - Crooked Houses

Welcome !! Today for my first post of 2021 I am featuring a wonderful MDF project from Faith Pocock Designs.

I always love getting "Faith" mail.. I never know what is going to be in my pack which gives me a chance to play and try things I would never really look at before

These 3 houses come separately packed for ease of knowing what sections go with each design.

I have found there is no right or wrong way when doing these projects, but I like to put together first, so I get an idea on what the finished product will look like. At this stage I also discovered that one side of the roof hinges so it can be opened.

I wanted a bright quirky look for these cuties so picked out colours for the house and roofs using some random paper I had laying around

I traced around outside of each section, then cut and glued down with Matt Medium Gel

Once finished I allowed to dry over night before decorating with chipboard embellishments

With Easter coming up I think these would be perfect to put a bag of Easter treats inside each house and give away as a gift

As always I loved creating this project for Faith and bringing it to life. Cant wait to start my next one.... until next time...

Bee Arty - Castle Dark Mini Collection

                                                             Morning Bee Arty Fans

Yay - my first post for 2021!! This month I will be doing a lot of fussy cutting and aim to make 3 cards for this post and 3 using same collection for next post... so here we go......

Paper collection this month that I will be playing with is Castle Dark Mini Collection Pack designed by Sue Smyth

This pack is full of amazing Fussy cut outs....
I took the time to cut all of them out because I really didn't know which pieces I wanted to use, only that I wanted to do a set of 3 cards

Next I choose white for the card, Red and Kraft for the backing and picked out a page from the kit for the background

Once an idea formed that I wanted to do a scull set I picked these out and played around with fussy cut flowers until I was happy with the placement

I then distressed all pieces to take away the white of the edges

Then layered the background up and stuck down the elements.

This is such an amazing set I had so much fun creating these cards, and perfect if you don't want to colour in images

Hope you will join me in a couple weeks when I have another 3 from the same kit
